The Water Science Network creates programs to stimulate collaboration and advance water science at MSU. We encourage all faculty to participate!
Brew Talks
Brew Talks is an MSU Water Science Network program to stimulate research ideas from collaborations you may not otherwise consider. You choose the brew – coffee, beer, whatever – and we’ll help you find someone with whom to share it. It’s fast and easy. If nothing happens, at worst you’re out the cost of drinks. At best? You could meet a new and valuable collaborator to brew up a promising avenue of research.
Water Networking Events
We host Water Networking Events every other month during the Spring and Fall semesters. The format of the events vary, but like our Brew Talks program they are designed to spark ideas and encourage collaboration. All faculty and post-docs are welcome!
MSU WaterCube
MSU WaterCube is an innovative funding program for MSU water faculty that stimulates new multidisciplinary collaborations and novel water research ideas with minimal investment of college funds and faculty time spent on developing internal grant proposals. WaterCubes are expected produce external grant proposals and peer-reviewed publications and to show evidence of progress at annual MSU WaterCube meetings.
