Water science is broad and multi-faceted. It spans the natural and physical sciences, social science, engineering, and public health. The MSU Water Alliance was created to connect these disciplines and foster collaboration around urgent water challenges.
That’s where our hubs come in. These affinity groups bring experts together to focus on shared goals and develop practical solutions. Because these hubs are connected by water, they’re designed to be fluid, allowing people and ideas to move freely instead of being confined by rigid boundaries.
Our current hubs are focused on achieving real outcomes:
- Supply sustainable food, energy, and water: Matt Schrenk
- Sustain aquatic ecosystems and build resilience: Michael Wagner
- Ensure water security for healthy people, animals and the planet: Amber Pearson and Wade Syers
