Often called Southeast Asia’s “Mother River,” the Mekong sustains the lives, cultures, and food systems of more than 60 million people. Today, damming, development, and climate change threaten the river’s ecosystems and the communities that depend on it.
Mekong Voices brings these river-centered stories to Michigan State University, including works by artists from across Southeast Asia and the diaspora.
This video was produced by Alva Nguyen and the MSU Water Alliance.
